When dealing with moisture problems in crawlspaces, a water evacuation system coupled with a plastic barrier can be the most cost effective solution. All situations are different but if the problem area is not a high traffic area, then you can avoid the high cost of pouring foundation and instead utilize a vapour barrier to isolate the problem.
